About the Designer
I have loved games of all kinds from when I was a kid. I try to find a way to play a game of some kind every day, and have continued to be inspired by new games and mechanics that so many talented humans draw up from their imagination. Steel Age and Dyrhal have been in the making in my head for twenty years, and in earnest for about two years.
Outside of this wonderful hobby, I have the privilege of teaching in NYC’s District 75, where I work with students with severe disabilities in the South Bronx. I continue to learn about life and myself every day from my students, who constantly remind me of new ways to find both play and resilience in this world.
I live in Harlem, in New York, with my cat Merlin, who would dispute the phrase solo developer if anyone asked him. I started drawing again after more than twenty years away from it; the drawings in the book are what that looks like so far, and I am still learning.
